This book fills a need. An excellent New Testament study Bible with Catholic oriented commentaries. Well done. And at an affordable price. I am looking forward to an Old Testament version to go with it.

Summary: "Excellent Study Bible"

I attended an Ivy League college and received the usual, popular "Historical Jesus" approach to bible study. In later years, I purchased the Jerome Bible Commentary, but was never really satisfied with it for personal use. The Ignatius Study Bible has just blown me away. I love it. The commentary opens up so many insights and connections. I especially like the connections that Scott Hahn makes of Jesus' actions and saying within the context of Jewish Scripture. I would strongly recommend this Bible Commentary.

Having this new bible, to read and study, has been a blessing. It is well laid out, with solid introductions and explanations throughout. A wonderful addition to our bible collection, and a great gift.
